December Newsletter
Fellow Democrats:
Christmas. Hanukkah. Kwanzaa. Dawali. Solstice. No matter our traditions, as the weather turns cold and the days shorten, our thoughts turn to reflection on the year past, celebration of those we hold dear, and anticipation of the year ahead. At NDLSC, that means planning for our 2010 National Convention at George Washington University Law School and Columbus Law School at The Catholic University of America, March 12-14th, 2009.
Our planning committee is hard at work securing speakers and panelists for this year's event, as well as finalizing logistical details for the event. More information will be forthcoming in January regarding hotel accommodations, registration fees, and our scholarship program for those who could not otherwise join us for this special event. We'll also be making an announcement about our keynote speaker in February, so pay close attention to your email in the months ahead. In the meantime, if you have any suggestions about speakers or panelists, please feel free to forward them to me at bcromes@lawschooldems.org.
In addition to our work on the convention, NDLSC just wrapped up our "Make November Count, AGAIN!" fundraising campaign. I want to personally thank NDLSC Director of Finance Lee Pham and Director of Technology Bill Froehlich for their hard work organizing and carrying out this important campaign. Our thanks also to those of you who gave. If you have not yet had an opportunity to give, we've included a link below for you to do so, and we encourage you to consider a gift to help make our convention a success.
It is our sincere hope that your fall semester was productive and enlightening. Best of luck to all on finals, our warmest wishes for a happy holiday and new year, and we look forward to beginning anew with you in 2010.
Regards,
Bradley L. Cromes
NDLSC President
