National Democratic Law Students Council 5th Annual Convention Washington D.C. March 12-14, 2009 Click HERE to register NOW!   The George Washington University Law Dems will host NDLSC's 5th annual convention with support from The Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America and the assistance of Young Lawyers for Obama (YLFO).   Already, a number of dynamic elected officials, academics and personalities have confirmed their participation: Convention participants will have the opportunity to participate in forums ranging from the environment, running for office, campaign finance, and voter protection.  A working schedule is posted HERE.      Convention RegistrationClick HERE to register NOW!    Registration fees:

    • $40 pre-registration for the first 250 participants

To register now, click HERE!       NDLSC Convention Opportunity Grants Available     The Opportunity Grant Program lends travel expense assistance to students who are otherwise unable to attend the National Convention.  The purpose of the Program is to foster a more diverse group of delegates at the National Convention by targeting previously unrepresented schools and underrepresented groups.Two to Five Opportunity Grant recipients will receive at least $100 but no more than $250 in reimbursement for transportation expenses.  Grants will be distributed on a reimbursement basis only The 2010 NDLSC Convention Opportunity Grant Application must be completed no later than 11:55pm EST on Monday February 8, 2010.  Award recipients will be notified on or before Monday February 22, 2010.    Before Applying, applicants should read the 2010 NDLSC Convention Opportunity Grant Guidelines, available HERE.      To apply, click HERE.      Electing new NDLSC officersNDLSC members will gather during lunch on the second day (March 13) of this year's convention to elect a new board.  Board position descriptions are accessible HERE.    Any NDLSC member is elligible to run for a board position.  Candidates may either collect signatures and run for positions from the floor, or they may submit a written statement for a particular position in advance of the convention.  Candidates will be able to submit candidacy statements in the short future.  Election logistics will be posted in the short future.    If you are interested in running for a particular position feel free to contact a current board member by clicking HERE.            Member particpantsMembers from law schools across the country anticipate attending NDLSC's 5th annual convention:
